Green Up Lawn Analysis

The first step to a healthier lawn is to create a game plan that is scientifically developed to help your lawn grow to its full potential. During the Green Up Lawn Analysis, our professional team will come on site to evaluate your grass type, soil composition and property structure. With that information, we’ll be able show you all your available options and help you decide how to proceed.

Green Up Weed Control

As your lawn care treatment partner — focused on giving you the best results — we know weeds are the ever-vigilant enemy to a healthy and beautiful lawn. That’s why we have specialty-crafted plans for weed control. First, we treat your yard — with a slow-release formula — to slow down the development of any grass types you don’t want. Second, we continue to treat your lawn throughout the year to make sure there are no problem areas that develop.

Green Up Fertilization Strategy

Just as important as weed control, your lawn needs the proper amount of fertilization — with the right chemical makeup — for that lush, green look you’re going for. As part of our Green Up Lawn Analysis, we also develop a plan to keep your yard properly fertilized throughout the year.

Our goal with the Fertilization plan is to help stimulate the right kinds of growth in your yard and maintain that growth through harsh summers and colder winters.

Green Up Soil Optimization

Connected to fertilization, part of our Lawn Analysis — and continued monitoring of your lawn over time — is to determine whether your soil is at the proper pH balance for optimal grass growth. The goal is to have the pH of your soil at an optimal level for microorganisms to grow and for your grass to take advantage of all the nutrients available in the soil.

One of many tools our experts will use to balance the pH in your soil is to apply a lime amendment. Again, our goal is to get your yard as green and healthy as possible while removing any of the hassle around scientific analysis of soil!

Green Up Aeration Strategy

In a multi-pronged approach to healthy lawns, we’ll also work to develop a plan if your yard needs aeration services.

Here’s how this process works:

As part of the Lawn Analysis, we’ll determine if your yard needs to be “overseeded” — which means that our team would spread new seed over an existing lawn. If that’s the case, we’ll schedule these seedings at least twice a year to help your lawn continue to grow — and to choke out any other weed types.
If your yard needs aeration, we’ll remove very small portions of grass and soil from your lawn.
In the course of a couple of weeks, you’ll see those pulled up portions break down in the yard. This breakdown provides much-needed nutrients to your growing lawn. You’ll also start to see new root development — with white-colored roots growing where some of the removed portions were.
